Join us for an exceptional Florida Kayak Silver Springs adventure tour. The natural beauty of Silver Springs has been a favored  Florida kayak destination and attracted visitors from around the country.  The spring pumps out about 550 million gallons of water a day.  Silver Springs is the headwaters of the Silver River, the largest tributary on the Ocklawaha River, a part of the St. Johns River water system.  This is one of the best pictorial kayak tours in Florida, with the Spring boasting crystal clear water and abundant wildlife, including wild Rhesus Monkeys. Truly a kayak paradise. Silver Springs has a rich history of famous visitors and several hollywood movies and series were filmed here including, Tarzan, Sea Hunt and the creature from the Black Lagoon.

We require a minimum of five people signed up to operate this public grop tour.

What to Expect:
We offer this tour as a kayak or paddle board experience, or both. The tour begins at the canoe launch at the head spring. Your guide will outfit you with all the necessary gear, and a short paddle and safety clinic. After the clinic, we will help you, one by one on the water, and begin our paddle, meandering down the Fort King canoe trail. On this voyage, historical scenes and past exhibits of Silver Springs past are still standing, including replicas of a seminole village, 1830 fort king army stockade, and a pioneer (Cracker House) pioneer homestead. We will continue our adventure around Ross Allen Island, named after the famous, herpetologist, naturalist, zoologist, and writer, who was based at Silver Springs. Then back up towards the head spring.Wildlife is abundant and the history is rich. Possible wildlife sightings may include, turtles, alligators, several different species of water birds, deer, otters, and monkeys  just to name a few.

Your guide will intrigue you with the natural, and historical wonder of this magical florida treasure and what better way to experience it, then from a kayak, or paddleboard!

Silver Springs is a one hour and 50 minute drive from St Augustine.

What to Bring:


Wet shoes or shoes that can get wet, hat, sunblock, bug spray, any additional snacks or drinks. camera, change of clothes and camera.

Wednesday’s, and Saturday’s at 10:oo a.m.

Private Tour 

We offer private tours. You pick the time.

Public Tour Price
Price 75.00 per person. We need a minimum of 4 people signed up to go.

Private Tour Price 

$100.00 per person.  5 person  minimum charge required.

Tour includes ~ kayak, PFD, paddle, dry bag, bottled water, launch fee, and a Naturalist guide equipped with a camera to capture lasting memories. Customer will be responsible for State Park entrance fee.

Paddle or peddle! We offer solo, tandem sit on top kayaks, hobie tandem mirage pedal kayaks and -or paddleboards for this adventure.

Reservations must be made and  pre – paid 48 hours in advance and a 48 hour cancellation notice is required for a full refund.

As with all our tours, if this kayak tour is canceled by Kayak St Augustine due to weather or any reason. customer will receive a full refund.
