History & Eco Kayak Tours St Augustine – Downtown Bayfront

Book Now!

Kayak back in time with our St Augustine history & Eco kayak tour along the bay-front of the oldest city. Hear some extraordinary stories and true history of the city as you paddle by the Castillo de San Marcos/Old Fort, and get a feeling of what the enemies of the fort experience being shot at with cannon balls in the open channel like sitting ducks. The kayak tour will also take you by the fountain of youth and the Mission of Nombre de dios and the great cross which designates the landing of the Spanish and Christianity to the new world. This kayak Eco tour engages in some of the natural environments, as we paddle up Hospital Creek along the salt marsh. Possible wildlife sightings include Dolphins, Manatees, Sea Turtles, Stingrays and all kinds of Marsh Birds, including the Great Blue Heron and the Roseate Spoonbills. We will kayak by Bird Island, which received its local name for a reason. You may, as an option have lunch on Bird Island with one of the best views of Downtown St Augustine from the water

Our  kayak guides will intrigue with story telling, a bubbling personality and the knowledge to explore the beautiful aquatic downtown landscape of St Augustine. This is a great way to get off the streets and the beaten path and enjoy real Florida while learning about our oldest city.
